The Vanguard ABEO Pro 284AGH Aluminum Tripod with Grip Head combines the 284AT legs with the GH-300T head. The tripod weighs 7.6 lb, and has a load capacity of 17.6 lb. It can extend up to 67", and folds down to 28.7". With the use of the included short column, the tripod can shoot as low as 9.4" for macro and low-angle photography.
The tripod features a multi-angle center column system that allows you to move the central column from 0 to 180-degree angles in variable vertical and horizontal positions. This makes macro photography and unique angle shots a breeze. Its Instant Swivel Stop-n-Lock (ISSL) System securely re-positions the center column in one simple movement, while maintaining the tripod's stability. When the center column is set in an angled position, a quick-adjustment lever lock makes pivoting the center column simple: flip the lock open, rotate the column to the desired position, and flip the lock closed. A ballast hook on the bottom of the center column allows you to hang a weight, adding stability to the tripod.
The tripod's legs feature flip locks and they individually adjust to 25°, 50°, and 80° angles with use of ergonomic release buttons for easy setup on uneven terrain or spreading out flat for low-angle photography. Three types of included feet provide an ideal solution for most surfaces. They include angled rubber feet, spiked feet, and a set of snow/sand shoes.
The GH-300T grip head combines impressive ergonomic control with the ease and flexibility of precision ball head adjustments. The lightweight pistol grip allows you to lock, unlock, and re-position your gear comfortably with one hand, leaving your other hand free to make lens adjustments. The separate panning lock, 2 bubble levels, and 360° panning mechanism with 72 built-in click stops allow for precise panoramic positioning. The -32 to 90° of side-to-side tilt and -8 to 90° back to front tilting facilitates a wide range of camera movement.
An efficient control system allows you to modify the level of friction on the ball to accommodate changing equipment weight up to 13.2 lb, while the anodized center ball allows extremely fluid movement without sacrificing precise control. Another extremely convenient feature of the GH-300T is the built-in shutter release that allows you to shoot and adjust camera position without ever taking your hand off the trigger. The two included cables are compatible with select Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras. The GH-300T comes complete with an Arca-type compatible quick release plate.
